“Pressing Matters” Antique Sad Irons
Tuesday was ironing day in yesteryear when they used a wide variety of irons to tame those wrinkles. Tammy O’Connell has a collection of rare and unusual irons to share along with entertaining stories. You will see irons used in ancient China as well as irons meant to “impress” a girl enough to marry! After learning about these heavy (think work-out weights) irons, you will hugely appreciate our lightweight, modern marvels that give us consistent heat, steam and spritz at the press of a button!
Join us at the Three Pillars Senior Living Communities – Village on the Square on Thursday, March 14, at 12:30pm or 2pm to learn about these “pressing matters!”
Lunch begins at 11:30 AM in River’s Edge Restaurant, Village on the Square. Presentation begins at 12:15 pm. ($15.00/person)
A free version of this presentation without lunch repeats in the Compass Point Pavilion Theater at 2:00 pm.
