LUNCH & LEARN: MILWAUKEE'S WOMEN IN HISTORY AT FOREST HOME CEMETERY
Join us for a captivating program exploring the extraordinary women who helped shape Milwaukee’s history. Historian, author, and Forest Home Cemetery docent Anita Pietrykowski will share stories of trailblazers such as Mabel Watson Raimey, Elizabeth Plankinton, Alice Chester, and many more who helped influence medicine, philanthropy, social change, and community development.

After a little weather delay, the annual Three Pillars Duck Race finally made a splash on Wednesday, September 23, 2026! Residents, staff, families, and community members gathered along the banks of the Bark River to cheer on 2,000 rubber ducks as they bobbed, splashed, and raced toward the finish line.
The river was moving fast, and the ducks were flying! The race lasted 3 minutes and 43 seconds, making for an exciting dash to the finish.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who purchased ducks and helped make this year’s race such a success! Together, we raised $8,000 to support the Glenn L. Humphrey Lodge Scholarship Fund and the Three Pillars Resident Support Fund.

Today, September 22, is National Centenarian's Day – a day celebrating those who have reached 100 or better. Talk about something worth partying for!
It was such an honor to celebrate all four of our resident centenarians: Dorothy, George, Rachel, and Isobel. Over 50 people shared in the fun with pie, punch, live music, and a wonderful afternoon toasting to these remarkable people and their lives well lived.
