What is a Life Plan Community or CCRC?
In general, Life Plan Communities, also known as Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC), offer independent living and continuum of care to older adults under a contract for the life of an individual. Three Pillars' full menu of services on campus will include independent living homes, lofts and courtyards, assisted living, short-term and long-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation, as well as memory care. Three Pillars is a Life Plan Community designed to help ensure retirement is rewarding, offering a combination of comprehensive wellness programs, services and amenities — all with predictable monthly costs.
What makes Three Pillars unique?
Located in Wisconsin’s beautiful Lake Country, Three Pillars is a life plan community offering a full continuum of care for older adults. Our wooded, 300-acre campus features over 10 miles of beautiful winding walking/biking paths and gorgeous views of the Bark River, which allows residents the ability to enjoy the beauty of nature in a safe and serene setting. The care levels provided at Three Pillars range from independent living options, assisted living, memory care skilled nursing and rehabilitation. Three Pillars was named THE ONLY “Best Continuing Care Retirement Community” in Wisconsin.
What is the expansion?
In the winter of 2023/2024, Three Pillars will begin constructing a variety of independent living residences including 50 Garden Homes, 12 Courtyard Homes, and 48 Lofts (apartments). These new options, coupled with the addition of a “Town Center” accessible by our entire campus, will include amenities such as:

When will the expansion at Three Pillars be ready?
We are now taking reservations and anticipate the community to open in 2025.
What are the fees associated with Three Pillars?
Residents pay a one-time, 90% refundable residency fee and begin paying a monthly fee upon moving into the community. The residency fee for independent living entitles the applicant the use, enjoyment and benefits of the common areas, amenities, services and programs.
The residency fee also assures the resident priority access to assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and rehabilitation on the campus either on a temporary or long-term basis.
What’s included in the monthly fee?
The monthly fee includes such items as basic cable, unsecured wifi, water, sewer, interior and exterior maintenance, groundskeeping and snow removal, trash and recycling, local scheduled transportation, wellness connection membership, 24 hour emergency/security system and access to social, cultural, recreational activity. The monthly fee for each Three Pillars residence varies according to the size of the accommodations and services selected.
Are pets welcome?
We are a pet-friendly community allowing two pets per residence. We do require a non-refundable pet fee per our policy.
May I personalize my residence to my own preferences?
Yes. Residents take pride in furnishing and decorating their new homes to reflect their tastes. Three Pillars also offers a great selection of custom upgrades. With approval of management, and for an additional charge, you can add special features or other individual selections to customize your home.
Who owns or manages Three Pillars?
Governed by a Board of Trustees, we are a not-for-profit organization senior living community, grounded in Masonic principles in all we do, for residents and other customers who will live lives of fully achieved personal satisfaction, and whose support is uniquely crafted to maintain the highest level of vibrant health and independence.
What is the Wellness Connection?
The Wellness Connection is a 4,700-square-foot fitness and wellness center offering cardio and specialized HUR circuit equipment. The leading technology HUR equipment is designed for seniors and those engaging in rehabilitation utilizing air pressure instead of weights to ease stress on joints and connective tissue. The center offers an aerobics and dance studio with suspended wood floors and full-length mirrors, plus locker rooms, showers with in-floor heat, and towel service. The wellness connection is included for residents and $25/month for community members.
Is there a waitlist for residency?
There is a waitlist for our existing independent living apartments and duplexes, Village on the Square. The fully-refundable deposit to join the wait list is $1,000 and is credited in full toward your Residency Fee at the time you select your residence.
How do I become a resident?
Once a residence of your choice becomes available, a deposit equal to 10% of the entrance fee reserves your new home. At that time, you will be asked to provide financial and health related information. Following a residency review, your move-in date can be confirmed. The balance of your entry fee is due upon move-in.
Do residents have a voice at Three Pillars?
Yes. One way to contribute your voice to the community would be to join the Resident Council, whose purpose is to share residents’ interests and concerns with administration.
