Three Pillars Earns Important Designations For Dementia Care

Memory Lane Lending Library
Memory Lane Lending Library is a pilot program designed to provide an opportunity for family members whose loved ones are experiencing dementia the ability to try out items that could alleviate some of the behaviors accompanying dementia before purchasing their own. A variety of social-emotional, environmental adaptations, sensory interventions and educational resources are available for checkout for a period of two weeks.
Puzzles, fidget items, adaptive recreation, materials for orientation, games, independent living aids, books and videos for caregivers and people with dementia and more are available. Don’t know what you are looking for? Call or email to learn about what is available based upon your loved one’s needs.
SPARK! Alliance
SPARK! is a cultural program for people with early-to-mid-stage memory loss and their care partners. Programs are designed to keep participants actively engaged in their communities by providing experiences that stimulate conversations, provide peer support and inspire creativity through creative engagement, workshops and programs.
SPARK! programs are FREE for families to attend together in a comfortable environment led by specially-trained staff and volunteers (SPARKprograms.org).”

Community Opportunities
Information and Referral Do you or your loved one with dementia need help, but you don’t know who to call? We can provide answers to your questions and get you connected with agencies who provide what you need. Call or email today - there is no charge for information and referral services.
Community Presentations Join us bi-monthly as our Director of Dementia Programming shares valuable information on dementia and caregiving. Our next presentation is “My Friend Has Memory Loss,” which will be held June 12, 2024, at 6pm in the Community Room in Village on the Square. Learn about age-related memory loss versus Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. Explore what to do if you are concerned about yourself or a loved one. Reservations requested, but not required.
Caregiver Tips Sign up to receive a free weekly caregiver email tip. Learn skills to better communicate with your loved one and deal with dementia-related behaviors.
Facebook Group Dementia and Alzheimer's Resource and Support Hub, sponsored by Three Pillars Senior Living Communities, provides resources and support for individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Members can share personal experiences, ask questions, and access valuable information on managing symptoms, caregiving tips, research, and resources.
Walk and Talk Tuesdays Bring your loved one with dementia and take a walk (or stroll) in the beautiful Three Pillars woods Tuesdays at 10am beginning May 14, 2024. Socialize with other caregivers, walk the paved paths, or sit on a bench in the shade by the pond. At 10:30am, we will meet in the pavilion for a fun game, craft, activity or speaker. Reservations requested, but not required.
Support Groups Contact us for information on our current support groups including caregiver support groups, brain health groups, and movement disorders group.
