New Insights on Cognitive Training and Dementia Risk
Tuesday, September 15 | 11am – 12pm | Holz Pavilion Theater
In this BrainMatters webinar, Dr. George Rebok, Professor Emeritus with the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, discusses new insights on cognitive training and dementia risk reduction gleaned from recently published research on the 20-year follow-up of the ACTIVE Study. This clinical trial reported that computerized cognitive training (similar to a computer game) designed to adapt to the user’s level and split their attention may reduce the risk of dementia up to 20 years later. This study was completed using BrainHQ, a program we will soon be offering our residents.
