PASSPORT REQUIRED? NOT FOR THIS FOOD TOUR!
Residents from Compass Point and Village on the Square enjoyed a one-of-a-kind, behind-the-scenes adventure at the Pan-Asia Supermarket in West Allis. The unique store opened in 2025 and is full of wondrous cultural surprises!
This isn't your everyday grocery shopping excursion as our shoppers found pork brains, chicken feet, quail eggs, live clams and snails, baby octopus, and shrimp, plus towering 50-lb bags of rice, endless sauces, monochromatic produce, Asian noodles, and teas as far as the eye could see. There was truly something exciting and new around every corner - even panda-shaped cheesecake!
After the tour, the group visited the boba tea café and bakery where the fun continued with delicious tastings of fresh dragon fruit, matcha, and Oreo cream cheese buns—made right there in the market.
A flavorful journey, a cultural experience, and plenty of smiles all around!
