Staying Grounded in a Stressful World: Practical Coping Strategies for Older Adults

Sponsored by the Brain Health Group and Rogers Behavioral Health

Monday, September 28 | 1pm – 2pm | Holz Pavilion Theater

Joan Haznaw, Community Learning and Engagement Training Specialist

Many people are experiencing increased stress due to current events, social issues, economic concerns, and the constant flow of information from news and social media. While we may not be able to control these events, we can learn strategies to manage our responses and support our mental well-being.  This presentation will provide practical tools to reduce stress, improve emotional resilience, and support brain health. Attendees will learn healthy coping techniques, ways to limit the negative effects of chronic stress, and how to recognize when feelings of anxiety or depression may require professional attention. The session will focus on empowering participants to care for both their emotional health and cognitive well-being.

FREE EVENT. OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
Registration appreciated. Residents can signup in the portal.
