Join Rob Rizzo, known as the “History Digger,” and fellow metal detecting enthusiast Bruce Ratkowski as they share fascinating stories from their adventures in the field. Before the talk begins, you might catch Rob scanning the grounds of Three Pillars in search of hidden treasures.

Rob’s love for metal detecting grew from a deep-rooted passion for history. As a child, he spent hours exploring the shelves of the Richland Thrift Shop—his grandmother Marie’s antique store in a suburb of Pittsburgh—where he and his cousins discovered countless mysterious artifacts and heirlooms.

“The hobby of metal detecting isn’t about getting rich—it’s about the story behind each find. We do it for the love of history,” says Rizzo.
