SUMMARY:Lunch & Learn: "Pressing Matters" Antique Sad Irons
DESCRIPTION:“Pressing Matters” Antique Sad Irons \nTuesday was ironing day in yesteryear when they used a wide variety of irons to tame those wrinkles. SUMMARY:Lunch & Learn | My Two Elaines with Marty Schreiber | Lunch & Program
DESCRIPTION:In honor of worldwide Alzheimers month in September\, please join Three Pillars as we host Marty Schreiber\, former Wisconsin governor and author of “My Two Elaines” – A story on his journey as an Alzheimer’s caregiver for his wife. He will share honest\, practical\, and heartfelt wisdom to help Alzheimer’s caregivers learn\, cope\, and survive. \nMartin J. Schreiber shares his heartrending 18-year experience of watching his wife Elaine transform into a person who no longer recognizes her husband and children. His message for fellow caregivers: There is hope in the sorrow and strength in knowing you are not alone. \nOne-part love story\, one-part practical advice\, My Two Elaines includes not only Schreiber’s insightful takeaways of what he wishes he’d known sooner and done differently as a caregiver\, it also features excerpts from Elaine’s personal journal\, recounting her thoughts\, concerns\, and frustrations as her disease progressed. \nAs a top priority at Three Pillars\, we are addressing the need for more memory care programming and services for those affected by dementia. Learn more about the impact we are making at the event. \nMarty’s books will be available for sale at $20 each. You may also pre-purchase the book as well. You can use this link to pre purchase the book and we will have it for you the day of the Lunch & Learn. \n\nPurchase your tickets here. \nLunch menu – coming soon! \n\nParking is available at Village on the Square | 375 State Road 67\, Dousman\, WI 53118
